Free-Range Eggs

Enjoy the superior taste of free-range eggs! These yolks are a vibrant orange and make for eye-popping egg dishes. You will see our little backyard flock roaming the grounds, filling up on bugs and plants that give them the best nutrients they need. Right now, our layers have such distinctive egg colors that we are able to point out to you which chicken has laid each egg. Come and enjoy what eggs can be!

Also remember, that for every egg carton you leave at the stand, whether purchasing eggs that trip or not, you get 25 cents off your total!

Our favorite egg recipe:

Quintessential Quiche

  • 5 eggs
  • 3/4 c. sour cream
  • 1-2 cups shredded cheese
  • salt to taste (about 1 tsp.)
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • Optional add-ins: we love amaranth or other greens, caramelized red onions and either ham, crab or shrimp.
  1. For the crust, mix: 1.25 cup flour (all purpose or whole wheat), pinch of salt, and 2-3 Tbsp cooking oil. Add warm water until pie crust consistency. Press into deep pie dish.
  2. Beat together the eggs, sour cream, milk and salt. Stir in any add-ins and shredded cheese.
  3. Pour mixture into pie crust, bake in 375 F oven for 45 minutes, until set.
